I think you might be hitting this bug in mono : https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=399048 As both the Last.fm and Lyrics extension are doing HTTP requests at about the same time, they might trigger the problem.

Smells like a bug. Could you try to isolate the case, for example, pl= ace
1 of those 200 files in a folder, and try to import just that folder. If that fails, please file a bug report with all the details and we'll try=
to help you.

Rhythmbox, however, reads them fine and recognizes the tracks. Banshee fails with ""Could not fetch metadata for CD" error in its status bar. Should I report this as a bug ? Right now I import my CDs using Rhythmbox because it's more reliable to identify them. As a workaround, is there a way to import the data from Rhythmbox or from its data source so it makes it to MusicBrainz and I can then import my CDs using Banshee ? Right now I encode the CDs with Rhythmbox and I refresh Banshee's database, not ideal but WFM. I ran some test, the first time it took 1,112843 seconds to find the library, but after that each next time takes only about 0,77 seconds. This scans eight drives in my computer, determines if there is a OS installed with users, then scans the user folders for iTunes folders and then selects the most recent one based on the username or not if they don't match. You have to install the Mono libraries for .NET as well, which you can find at the MonoDevelop site at the Windows section. That's right, because VS couldn't load it because it didn't recognise .cproj. I opened the .sln in the libbanshee folder, but I couldn't build it because I don't have gstreamer (could not include gst/gst.h). It also fails to include config.h but I could swith it off with the preprocessor. Does Banshee depend on mono implementations of library's not covered by the ECMA standards. The reason I ask is because I recently started coding my own project using mono/c# and I wanted to use sqlite. I knew that ADO.net was not covered by the ECMA and I also new that banshee used sqlite. So I browsed the banshee source code to find out how it talked to sqlite. I was quite surprised to find it used Mono.Data.Sqlite which according to the mono website provides a full ADO.NET 2.0 API interface. And references System.Data (which I thought was an ADO.net namespace). I fixed it by creating a file .is_audio_player in the device root with the following content: audio_folders= folder_depth=2 output_formats=audio/mp3 Banshee now lists the content of the device and is able to write music on it. It would be great though if Banshee would support Zen Stone Plus out of the box. Has anyone filed a bug for this yet? If not, I'd be willing; I just ca= me back from vacation to find Last.fm not working in Banshee due to this.

Or, at least, for the ability to get 'composer' entries displayed. It's seen as so trivial that it's been dismissed in the past as something to hack oneself (thanks for nothing), so I hope someone might find the time to look into it.
