What happens if you install "sqlite3" and run the command "sqlite3 ~/.config/banshee-1/banshee.db"? You should get a command prompt that says "sqlite>". You can then type ".tables" and hit Enter to see if sqlite3 can pull the tables from the database file. Type ".quit" and press Enter to quit. If sqlite3 errors then it might be possible to debug it more or try to fix it. Unfortunately, with a malformed database then everything could well be lost and unrecoverable (unless you've got a backup of your config directory with it in). First thing you should do is make a copy of the database; if it is damaged attempting to use it could only make the problem worse. The selection will be parsed and applied to all of the tracks in the editor. For example, I went to Amazon.com, found the album, selected all of the tracks, and pasted it into the first title entry in the Banshee track editor. I didn’t have to type any of the titles on the CD. I created a screencast of the entire process of filling in all of the album metadata manually. Slick, though it’s still of course always better if the metadata can be found in the first place via MusicBrainz. but AFAICT this does not work: I paste a (newline-separated) list and I get the whole list in the Track 1 title, separated by what looks like unrecognized Unicode characters. Is this supposed to work? If so, what am I doing wrong? BTW, I'm on Banshee 2.6.2 on Fedora 22. Today installing .deb packages made for vivid (which is the wrong ubuntu release) worked as a dirty workaround to get mirage running with my MINT 17.2 ( = ubuntu 14.04 LTS). This workaround is not recommended because - installing .deb packages in unbuntu is usually not a good idea - installing .deb packages from wrong releases is even a worse idea - both can destroy your system The workaround: - be sure to have your data backupped, your system might be damaged! - do an apt-get dist-upgrade and an apt-get upgrade to have all the library updates installed - install banshee-extensions-common 2.4.0-4ubuntu1 with GDebi for my system I found them here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/vivid/amd64/banshee-extensions-common/2.4.0-4ubuntu1 - do an apt-get check to check if the dependencies work -If apt-get check reports no errors: proceed -If apt-get check reports errors: uninstall the package with GDebi and - forget the workaraound or - try a package for another type of processor, found here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/vivid/+source/banshee-community-extensions - Install the mirage .deb with GDebi I found mine here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/vivid/i386/banshee-extension-mirage/2.4.0-4ubuntu1 - do an apt-get check to check if the dependencies work - if not: Uninstall with GDebi - Start Synaptic (it performs some more checks, if it doesn't report errors, anything shoud work and you should find mirage in banshee, now. It's not able to go to Miro's site, get and update podcasts, anymore , when I still had podcasts on Banshee. Now I have them all on gPodder and playing them through Banshee instead. Did it become like the Amazon mp3 store on Banshee or can I still be able to get it back and fix it? -- View this message in context: http://banshee-media-player.2283330.n4.nabble.com/The-Miro-Guide-on-Banshee-doesn-t-work-anymore-tp4652401.html Sent from the Banshee Media Player mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
