I did some work on this before my departure, but didn't have time to finish it.  Besides the problem w/ children in the FSQ, there is another problem: we need to defer marking a file as indexed until all of the children have been indexed.  Otherwise children could be lost and never indexed if the beagled crashed or was shut down while in the middle of indexing an archive --- since the original archive file is immediately marked as indexed, we'll never try to reindex that file.

I've promised Joe a patch for this, but Googling has been keeping me busy...

It requires a fix in FSQ to handle child-indexables.  Don't know whether
that fix has gone in or not.
