Hello,

Since I updated my computer from ubuntu 16.04 to ubuntu 18.04 and so updated the software evolution, I 've seen this problem :

Appointments displayed on the monthly view of the calendar doesn't mention the appointments of the current day. So when you look at eleven in the morning for example, you don't see the appointments in the afternoon of the current day. You see only appointments beginning the day after.
It's a regression which is really uncomfortable.

It would be great if you could fix this problem.

Thanks in advance and thanks for your job on gnome tools.

Best regards

Also note, please, that 3.28.5 is very old, the current upstream supported version series is 3.34.x. > Appointments displayed on the monthly view of the calendar doesn't > mention the appointments of the current day. So when you look at > eleven in the morning for example, you don't see the appointments in > the afternoon of the current day. You see only appointments beginning > the day after. As long as you've there enough space (the month view is very limited in this regard), then I'd say there is something odd with your time zone. Or with the timezone conversion between your timezone in Edit->Preferences->Calendars and Tasks, and the timezone the respective events are in. When you open for example the Day view, do the events show properly there, at a correct time? Being it about time zones, I'd be afraid that the issue might not be only in evolution or evolution-data-server, but also in libical or tzdata. I cannot tell for sure (see below). > It's a regression which is really uncomfortable. > > It would be great if you could fix this problem. It's likely that the current stable version has that fixed. If you can give it a try somehow, then it'll be appreciated. As I did not notice this with 3.34.x, I'd guess it is fixed, but more detailed information is needed to know for sure. The worst case scenario (for you) would be that the current version has it fixed, in that case you might need to ask your distribution maintainer to backport relevant patches, because the upstream doesn't package for all distributions out there, it's done by respective distribution maintainers. =09Bye, =09Milan From ak-47@gmx.net Wed Dec 4 18:21:56 2019 Return-Path: X-Original-To: evolution-hackers@gnome.org Delivered-To: evolution-hackers@gnome.org Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by smtp.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 59E5476193 for ; Wed, 4 Dec 2019 18:21:56 +0000 (UTC) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at gnome.org X-Spam-Flag: NO X-Spam-Score: -1.051 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-1.051 tagged_above=-999 required=2 tests=[BAYES_00=-1, DKIM_SIGNED=0.1, DKIM_VALID=-0.1, DKIM_VALID_AU=-0.1, FREEMAIL_ENVFROM_END_DIGIT=0.25, FREEMAIL_FROM=0.5, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW=-0.7, SPF_PASS=-0.001] autolearn=no Received: from smtp.gnome.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (restaurant.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id xhP2tgVvIdQQ for ; Wed, 4 Dec 2019 18:21:54 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mout.gmx.net (mout.gmx.net [212.227.17.21]) by smtp.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 977C276186 for ; Wed, 4 Dec 2019 18:21:53 +0000 (UTC) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/simple; d=gmx.net; s=badeba3b8450; t=1575483720; bh=/wQutKiu1k9yahIHiJhg9gEPPVEUb8ltiPSdPSa6CYQ=; h=X-UI-Sender-Class:Subject:From:To:In-Reply-To:References:Date; b=N2K0NkrxJ4G9zwSeB+Avr2mDjXIdhuwOuZ4rNfDd7A73HxGcrksSjnV+6rW+Q0MgL DBD5TQTzkrqGFMLx12Rb+dfGMVT2XZYIb8ublmsrciI5ciXA5NpkUvKXbRw8w6VCHR i26RcOYD3zAWBteqE/AzfUgkDP02fp6woOuEU0Bg= X-UI-Sender-Class: 01bb95c1-4bf8-414a-932a-4f6e2808ef9c Received: from ac ([89.177.54.209]) by mail.gmx.com (mrgmx105 [212.227.17.168]) with ESMTPSA (Nemesis) id 1M4s0t-1iaeHH238R-00203n for ; Wed, 04 Dec 2019 19:22:00 +0100 Message-ID: From: Andre Klapper To: evolution-hackers@gnome.org In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Date: Wed, 04 Dec 2019 19:16:58 +0100 MIME-Version: 1.0 User-Agent: Evolution 3.34.2 (3.34.2-1.fc31) Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Provags-ID: V03:K1:G6jT5T63PnpCCSycARAGpmpAe1Q9J7pHz8dCKngwk9AMnThLilm xXqqAOe1dSeLW5uRtLtuqRzDbmaW/ib0aOWyhrWV2YxFKEhE2nAfI7p/1vAXV4o+Z9Z6l+C tFXOUrFroGYpo83U4oRgzBLlkbrSRgSqVGlDgO+mQfHW6jSvHer0+fEECEWSHXJbIfG3EUu 4rwH8zcBQbU2o+9XguBzw== X-UI-Out-Filterresults: notjunk:1;V03:K0:I2pDaWaN+Ss=:UfNpNKZ1FumbWPARXUFR4w kdaWwd+d4Px6ZvRzXqxso2TKkwnVnUlr+jFgEqcRakUl/X2AuTnAeQDuunCd5yeChclSnv5e2 Hv9UWa0pQRCX00TnVk7r0cWVyr2qFoPbCCdZT1mlNtgABRYutPwZwvAXyfKnC9uuDCQgunixs Kr4HaLobJe5dp50kEC4kb1Q2esWemf219uzZHx0LsbjyAg4d8QX3+w5fDweXKTT79g/yieRjZ jk/a0VjxPDuN0SGLTYeeIyaZb4E1DyZE/nT+HMuh6gc6lPQFQN2V0LECQAJ1jLAb5KL2xOyHC 4PRTKvrJ8D/K4HC4Okc4VEqygIDQsMtmF5w/Fkegy+sAW2sJ8JgW7Ydrofpm8eWz80PBZsPcm DsArx8kwVIVaOlzKovQhpZheFqvTd5V7i7MdPraUCvLgpXQlKYxWqzXiWXoGXQeAPmCP4Ky7T MbPxo7bD93J92Of6GS5jI9jXVWkY71frtSf3H4tmQMPiG8GepcFxN0nv1KAJJCY3NcqD3M5lK 7Gv2hetHJzk67++2pXNXalJVsq1c4VBADBreaKzWirHfLXL5edoujNmkm5CyYjxRbtQ72JdQB pXa9oee8yS1EkYBuUGHTn5qSEEnluIsAYQIU0aJ75ZO4S8y9oqifdLPagc1lESkbxURYrQNgy lBa0y6kTjAH2eHVIextELmTsFtT0WW/nxqgl7w2tBTxAwpGw2X1aXV/xddKGXKtF8/nfuWwOr VjMMkAjKsjrdZM9D+/84NMzsAZJMYfwq+l26+gPjTV+gRnoAfv/v0GZ9MbO9MWppUcBchSUQm mLleP+ZwvDXv/oYjp1qh5+vZE4BWmHK7zGgvXdpIPgIsvC56HKCBXhSV+oymCZ3vsZ8ZTWY4Y l+86AApg3oQZEHmryV1Zy7j85cVo68Cw+3A0sn8UYQYpAtFRMnczSycMWbUgcWuXGDjtj9id1 6byLOjzrA3oNXFUABam6GDRS2OjogCkaz7sMJPiYGy5ObNfK5AP8JrIJx9D4FqFIAu/zAFw+a pvmTRI4ziHt/haeeR/5dr119eWKD8EP3x37FhbEUHInbAU9C31n0E9QQE6UikSYXUQef01Wgb I6oMiBCFSawFtLMIBcTHbBL/maXUMJwqTzMoEvh/if1E7YpTeSC9YXeiFd8r1KLuf69rI2Y5w Onvj8cgCHc46RQeVQz4ddddc+LQaqQ+ZGJHmUZCYPOfaNYHRIVO4iMy0zboKoHaX+sDT63VBk bMYtFB25E9n+h5+wj3NVHyaGpzizfMVoaG56AgQ== Subject: Re: [Evolution-hackers] A probelm with evolution software 3.28.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 X-BeenThere: evolution-hackers@gnome.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: Discussion about Evolution code List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 04 Dec 2019 18:21:56 -0000 [This would be better suited on evolution-list@ if you don't plan to work on code.] On Wed, 2019-12-04 at 15:16 +0100, R=C3=A9gis Ramel wrote: > Since I updated my computer from ubuntu 16.04 to ubuntu 18.04 and so > updated the software evolution, I 've seen this problem : > > Appointments displayed on the monthly view of the calendar doesn't > mention the appointments of the current day.
