0.6 has various bugs that might cause this to happen. 0.7 will
hopefully be out soon.

Running "killev" before starting evolution again might make it be able
to start up successfully afterwards. Running "killev" when it's stuck
in that state ought to kill it. (Although maybe not... you might need
to do "killall -9 evolution-mail".)
