[Evolution] Deletion problem

I am having problems deleting text in replies ...
Selecting a bunch of text and then hitting Delete does nothing.
Hitting backspace works, most of the time. There seems to be some kind
of limit on how large the selected are can be for even backspace to
work.

Anyone else experiencing this?
