Re: [Evolution] Keybinding bug

EXACTLY!!!

This is what I'm talking about!
I am sooooo sick of Linux being only for the "elite"
For us to ever be the desktop OS of choice for Buisness and
Home-Users... we need something familiar, something easy to
install, set up, and to use.
Everything needs an Installer...
We *DO* want people to be able to use this right?

<P>You're right, Evolution is not Outlook.&nbsp; But, on the other hand,
I think that for Gnome/Linux to gain a true foothold on the business
market, there needs to be an email client that can interface w/ Exchange
and Lotus Notes (Boo!&nbsp; Hiss!&nbsp; I know I know).&nbsp; Its just
the reality of it all.&nbsp; The average end user expects to be able to
send tasks and meetings via Outlook and whatever customized setup there
is in Lotus.</P>

<DIV></DIV>Obviously, the point I was trying to make is being
misunderstood. First,
<DIV></DIV>I'm not sure how many people use Outlook - I imagine since M$
shoves it
<DIV></DIV>down everyone's throat that a good number of people do use it
- that's
<DIV></DIV>what WIndows is for, stifling choice. I've used Netscape for
years, but
<DIV></DIV>I don't expect Evolution to mimic it. This would be silly to
even
<DIV></DIV>expect. Also, I'm not saying that it shouldn't look like
Outlook,
<DIV></DIV>although the new stuff M$ is putting out (i.e Office 2000,
etc.) looks
<DIV></DIV>like it is being designed by a kid with a crayon. I am saying
that you
<DIV></DIV>don't take keybindings that are standard for a platform and
bastardize
<DIV></DIV>them to match another product/platform. The bottom line is
this is NOT
<DIV></DIV>Outlook - and it is not running on Windows. If I wanted
nothing more
<DIV></DIV>that Outlook, then I would just run WIndows.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>No flame intened - this is just my two cents.

<DIV></DIV>&gt; could

<DIV></DIV>&gt; The reason I was attracted to evolution in the forst

<DIV></DIV>&gt; it's
<DIV></DIV>&gt; Outlook-a-like-ness... because of the familiar interface.
I don't have time

where to put my
