Re: [Evolution] Reply to all should include myself

A vfolder on what?
Everything in my inbox + sent?

That breaks then if I file the threads away someplace else (unless I
made a separate vfolder for sent + whatever-other-box)

And if you were to do that, you'd effectively be doing the same thing as
auto-ccing yourself on everything. Granted, you wouldn't have the
messages coming in as unread, but you also wouldn't be able to drop them
from the list (unless you wanted to purge them for good)

And so I guess one could avoid seeing the zillions of messages by
normally reading the inbox, and only switching to the vfolder if you
have a thread you care about, but that adds the hassle of having to
realize you want to switch to the vfolder, doing it, scrolling till you
find that thread, etc.

It really seems that adding one checkbox for those of us who want "Reply
to All" to really mean what it says, not "Reply to All but Myself" is a
perfectly reasonable request.

Then why not setup a vfolder?

Then threading won't be broken.

Why would you ever want to read something you've written yourself?

Because different people do things in different ways.

If you need to (to point out how wrong Y was in talking about X),
there's always the sent folder.

As he points out, that breaks the threading, since you then have to go
back and forth from one folder, to sent, back to the folder, etc, in
order to see the entire conversation at once, especially if any of the
parties snips the email - as I've done here.
