We're not using "courier", but imap-uw (version imap-2002.RC2)
(http://www.washington.edu/imap/). Until now it has worked quite well
(from a user perspective at least), even if it certainly has some
limitations, like not supporting folders that contain mails and
subfolders at the same time. I don't know how it manages uid though.
