[gedit-list] trouble installing plugins

Hi List,

I am having a lot of difficulties installing the snapopen plugin,

I'm on Ubuntu Feisty, using the default gedit 2.18.1

I followed the author's suggestion of putting it in ~/.gnome2/gedit/plugins. This had no effect.
I tried putting it in /usr/lib/gedit-2/plugins. Nothing.

Amazingly, couldn't find *any* plugin installation guide on your website.

Can anyone help me to get this installed?
