I've been using Gnac 0.2.2 in Ubuntu 10.04 for a while. It is a really impressive piece of software.
I'd suggest three features to make it better:
1. play a custom sound at the end of a batch conversion
2. visible indicator to signal the end of a batch conversion (possibly through D-bus in Ubuntu)
3. progress bar to indicate the conversion of each song

Regards

Zoltan

Your feature #2 has just been implemented and will be available in the next release! Regarding your feature #1, we are not sure this is really necessary if we already have a notification. In addition, we think this would give too much emphasis on the notifications as a whole section would need to be created in the preferences box to control their behaviour: sound on/off, change sound, different sound on conversion completed with/without errors, ... Our idea is to keep the main interface as simple as possible. Feature #3 goes against this concept by adding elements (progressbars) that do not really bring any useful information to the user. Indeed, we cannot really think about any situation where knowing the time remaining to convert a given file would be really useful to the user. Feel free to comment further on those requests if you think feature #1 or #3 would be really beneficial for users. Our idea is to keep the main interface as simple as possible. Feature #= 3 goes against this concept by adding elements (progressbars) that do not r= eally bring any useful information to the user. Indeed, we cannot really th= ink about any situation where knowing the time remaining to convert a given= file would be really useful to the user.
