have you gdl development lib correctly installed ?
GDL_PIXMAP, GDL_PIXMAP_END and GdlPixmap are defined in gdl-tools.h,
located in /usr/include/libgdl-1.0/gdl in debian/sid

shouldn't the configure script detect such problems ??
