GDP Status Report

Folks -

So much has been happening in so many different areas, much of it
the result of hit-and-run IRC discussions, that I though it would be
worthwhile to put together a GDP Status Report on the various GNOME 2
activities now underway.

Errors cheerfully corrected, and ommissions taken care of in the next
round, which I hope will be soon:
