Damn, a thing like this one should be in all distros (Hey, any
packager reading this?). We talking days and days, and it already
exists... and does near all we said. Downloading to test it
personally. From the page, I guess it just need improvements, like
being able to disable it from a graphical way, instead of using
NO_XALF.

Xalf one is the fake window system, that seems to be the less
obstrusive of all them.

A copy of the Xalf capplet functions, for each app, running under
app's Prefererences. Maybe add an "Use this image as splash screen /
Use default splash screen" so user can choose. But all optional, we do
not want to overload coders or users.
