This is from today translation statistics (available at
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/status/):

             pt pt_BR
------------------------------
stable 46.76 % 73.36 %
extra 3.63 % 51.06 %
unstable 25.16 % 77.46 %

Brazillian Portuguese (pt_BR) have more transaltions like (Iberic?)
Portuguese (pt). The sitiuation for pt_BR is not ideal (100 % :-),
but is very good (IMHO).

So, you are welcome for contributions to the pt_BR translations.

Regards.
