I agree. Better not have too many translation projects, it only makes it harder
to communicate among them. (For the Dutch language, we have a common
mailing list for practically all translation volunteers, on which we discuss specific
words, in order to make sure that the different projects use consistent translations.)

Actually I don't agree. I personally prefer TPRobot, because it enforces the
correctness of the files. It's harder to break translations.

I agree for applications that are very close to Gnome or Gnome applications,
and I see the benefit of it being more likely that translations are consistent
(i.e. use the same jargon).

One of the benefits of TPRobot is that every contributor can directly work on
translations, without having to know cvs and its intricacies. With the current
GTP way of directly using cvs, the commiting of translations has to be done
by someone who knows the system (most probably the translation team
leader). I prefer the TP structure.

Good point.
