It would be helpful if the "GNOME Translation Robot <gnome-sysadmin@gnome.org>" could never be a commit author. Like here: https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=b5fdfddb1eabb7fab2c8cebf27561fbf525c110b where both the author and the commit are this robot, instead of a real person. There was another change made a day earlier https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=5b7bc7d79e931e0573c92ab8de2c40cb45bd317e , which confuses me too. Note that both commits seems to be done by different people. I use the author to identify and credit the translators in the NEWS file, which is good to do, from my point of view.

That user is the one damned-lies web UI commits use behind the scenes. Claude, is there anything we can do to have the real author of the commit appearing on the author field?

I'd like to request an update of openSUSE link under the https://www.gnome.org/getting-gnome/ page to point to the more pertaining https://software.opensuse.org/distributions/ instead, the place where information about openSUSE distributions can be found and their download links. And to update GNOME Tumbleweed's version to 3.28 please.

Reassigning to sysadmins as they are more likely to know what = to do with this. This has nothing to do with =E2=80=9Cwebsites=E2=80=9D.

This is better, but still not optimal, because people are not = used to check for file NEW_RELEASES. Can this file be displayed, when visiting : https:= //download.gnome.org/sources/startup-notification/ without opening it? = I mean an index.html or alike, that displays apart from the available subdirectories, also the indication, that these are outdated? Besides, for https://download.gnome.org/sources/startup-notification/NEW_RELEASES<= /a> the server does not communicate any Content-Type: .
