Problem compiling GNOME

Hi,

I got yesterday GNOME source fomr CVS. I want to compile them. I run into
the following problem : 

when generating imlib, i first use :
./autogen.sh --prefix /opt/gnome --with-gtk-prefix /usr/local

the script is looking for the gtk-config file into /usr/local/lib/bin but
it is in /usr/local/bin !!

I don't know what to do to make it is search into /usr/local/bin.

Rem: glib-1.1.7 and gtk+-1.1.7 are installed into /user/local

If someone could help...!
