Could, but shouldn't; automated installers/updaters such as autorpm don't like 
it, quite aside from what people like myself think about it.  (Bad enough that 
autorpm itself spits out lots of noise in its postinstall....)

Agreed.  RPM isn't going to be used here, nor dpkg/apt; and I seriously doubt 
that anyone but us cares about syncset.  :-)
