Thanks for the comments on the help-browser. As you can tell, its
very much a 'work in progress'. Marc and I are merging some code at
the momement that will address most of your points, I believe.

If you are interested in the problem of automatically generating the topic.dat
from the DocBook output, go for it. 

I think later today we'll have a 'Mark II' version in CVS.

There are still several outstanding design questions - after we stick
the new version in CVS we're quite open to constructive suggestions.
