no sooner do I rant about it...

Yesterday I mentioned my continuing saga of snprintf()...

/bin/sh ./libtool --mode=link /home/allbery/bld/cc -L/opt/gnome/lib -o tester
 tester.o ./libxml.la -lz
/home/allbery/bld/cc -L/opt/gnome/lib -o .libs/tester tester.o
-R/opt/gnome/lib ./.libs/libxml.so -L/opt/gnome/lib -lz

 symbol in file
snprintf /home/allbery/bld/gnome-xml/.libs/libxml.so
_pure_p3_c0_420_551
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to .libs/tester

Purify engine: Error: The linker returned error code: 1

make: *** [tester] Error 1

I'm patching the makefile to get around it, a reportedly non-useful test
program doesn't concern me much.
