What about Balsa ?

Regarding all the excitement surrounding a new gnome mail client my question is:
'What about Balsa ?'

I know the Balsa project has been standing still in the last while, but there
has been alot of excitement on the balsa mailing list as well. Everyone there
is also talking about reorganization etc. Quite a few programmers have
volunteered to help there too (check the archives). Some nice ideas have come
forward as well.
