RE: gdm submission

As something of an aside, I have heard that the reason for the sequence is
to disable any potential programs which read keystrokes. So, supposedly, it
is a security measure.

The point is that gnome strives to be easy to use. Having to hit
some
oddball sequence like ctrl alt del to login is and allways will be a
bad
idea. When you need a login box, it should be presented to you. I
just love
how when you sit down at an nt box you get alittle window saying hit
control
alt delete to login. What the heck... why didnt they use that space
for
something usefull like a login box. :) Microsoft says that they are
trying
to make things easy to use but requireing ctl alt delete for login
is not
easy to use. If someone really wants to persue this issue, add the
feature.
but for hevens sake dont make it default.
