cleaning up rpms ?

Hello,

is anybody working on clean rpms and a clear reloc filesystem
structure.

It would be nice if GNOME packages are going into

  /opt/gnome

and would not install in /usr/bin, /usr/X11R6/bin, ...
and much other places.

Also the rpm group layout should be clear. There are packages
X11/libraries, X11/Libraries, Applications/...

What's about

  GNOME/Core
  GNOME/System Utilities
  GNOME/Runtime Libraries
  GNOME/Development Libraries
  GNOME/Applications/Editor
  GNOME/Applications/IRQ
  GNOME/Applet/...

Just a question of organization...

I think, this should be done for RedHat 5.9/6.0.

Peter
