Gnome-PPP Dialer Problems

I just upgraded from 1.0 to the current version of gnome and now the PPP
dialup program they have doesn't work. When I type gnome-ppp I get an
error saying (I'm sorry) like "gtk shared library error" and the program
exits.
Everything else seems to work in gnome. Can I reinstall this program or
should I try to reinstall the gtk libs?
I can tak to the modem ok through minicom, so I don't think it's a modem
problem.
