Loki MPEG lib

Loki has just released SDL MPEG Library Version 0.1.0 (maybe some one
want to port the LokiTV player to GTK/GNOME)

Here's the deal: (from happypenguin.org)

SMPEG is a free MPEG1 video player library with sound support.
Video playback is based on the ubiquitous Berkeley MPEG player,
mpeg_play v2.2. Audio is played through a slightly modified mpegsound
library, part of Splay v0.8.2.

This library is distributed under the Gnu Library Public License (LGPL)
version 2. In addition to the terms and conditions of the LGPL, we require
that SMPEG only be distributed with the following legend in the documentation:
"This product includes code from the Berkeley MPEG1 Software-only Video
Decoder."

LokiTV and smplay are simple video players provided to test the library. The
library interface is 'documented' in SDL_mpeg.h.

This is a work in progress. Only 16 bit color depth is supported. On slower
systems performance is less than spectacular with choppy video and broken
audio. Currently it has only been tested on Linux (i386, ppc, & alpha).

License: free

Additional System Requirements:

Simple DirectMedia Layer v0.9.9
16 bit X display
Qt 1.44 is needed for the LokiTV player.
