Problems compiling gnome-libs-1.0.57

Hi folks,

Been trying to compile gnome-libs 1.0.57, and I'm running into a
problem.

I get to a point, then:

gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wunused -o .libs/gnome-name-service
gnome-name-server.o .libs/libgnorbagtk.so -lz -lm -lname-server
-L/usr/local/lib -lORBitCosNaming -lORBit -lIIOP -lORBitutil -lglib
-lm -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lX11 -lz -lm -Wl,--rpath -Wl,/usr/local/lib
ld: cannot open -lname-server: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [gnome-name-service] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/workspace/gnome-libs-1.0.57/libgnorba'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/workspace/gnome-libs-1.0.57'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

I thought that this might be caused by ORBit being out of date, so I
went and upgraded it to 0.5.1. But still no go. Any solutions?

This is on an old Redhat 5.2 box. (Though all the packages have been
steadily upgraded as needed.)

Thanks!
