gnome-session crash

Hi.  I'm running most of gnome on my ultra 5 pretty well.  Performance is nice
and most things are stable. 

However, I'm unable to run gnome-session.  It cores on me as soon as I start
it. 

Is there anyone here with any ideas, or pointers to people/places where help
would be available?
I've built all libraries myself with gcc.

Running: 

gnome-libs-1.0.57
gnome-core-1.1.6

running gdb gnome-session core yields:
