No not even enlightenment does it correctly.  If you have more than one gnome-terminal
window open it only cares about the first one.  Enlightenement is the only window manager
that even thinks of supporting it.   I'm not sure that many other wm maintainers think that
this should implemented in the wm.

Enlightenment for instance can save a windows location, size, etc. for
any program. Others may do it also, and it's not really the kind of
feature which would add too much bloat to the WM.
