cut/copy/paste problem in helix gnome

hi,
I'm a helix gnome user.  I have a question that when I copy text from
gvim (for example, by selecting Edit/Select All menu and then Edit/Copy)
and then paste into gedit, I got nothing.  But if I paste the text into
gnumeric, it work fine.

what's the deal here?
