I hope that someone will be able to assist me with this
problem. I have just installed Red Hat Linux 7.2. It is the only OS
on my computer and using the ext3 file system. I installed everything which may not have been such a good
idea. When I log into KDE desktop I have no problems at all but
when I attempt to log into Gnome as either root or my user account the panel
crashes and I receive the following error message: Application "panel" (process 1192) has crashed
due to a fatal error. (Segmentation fault). Quitting the desktop using Ctr-Alt-Backspace
and logging on again makes no difference. Neither does a reboot. Please help! Derek Farrell |
