Inproper displaying text in edit boxes

Hi,

I use Mandrake 7.2 and have a problem with proper displaying text in edit 
boxes in GNOME applications: when I write something in a box, the cursor is 
displayed too far to the right (between it and the last letter there is too 
much free space).
