Applications menu, no drop down list

Hi,
I did something goofy with the main menu bar.
When I click on "Applications", I no longer get the drop down list.
Nothing happens when I try to edit it.
"Places" and "System" still have a list.
Added a new menu bar applet to the panel - same problem.
Using Fedora 10.
