Debian packaging

I'm not subscribed to this list yet so please CC me.

The projects sounds great, but you must not make the mistake Ximian did with
their Debian packages which caused many upgrade problems from clean gnome.

You may want to read the packaging manual/policy guidelines at debian.org.
Which is what all Debian packages conform too.

If noone is actively working on the Debian side of the project then i'll
volunteer (something else i can do beyond the GDP).

Rather than completely rewrinting a Debian direcotry modifying the existing
ones may be a better idea.
