After one of the updates I ran a while back, I get an error when trying to log into the machine: "There was an error loading the theme Default" "Couldn't recognize the image file format for file '/usr/share/gdm/themes/Default/background.png'" If I vnc into the machine, all the images are blank with a red x in the center of them. Any ideas on what the problem may be? It's almost as if it no longer will display png files. - jody From dhollis@davehollis.com Fri Jan 6 13:23:45 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: gnome-redhat-list@gnome.org Delivered-To: gnome-redhat-list@gnome.org Received: from localhost (unknown [127.0.0.1]) by menubar.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 829483B2495 for ; Fri, 6 Jan 2006 13:23:45 -0500 (EST) Received: from menubar.gnome.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (menubar.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 06501-09 for ; Fri, 6 Jan 2006 13:23:43 -0500 (EST) Received: from pop-knobcone.atl.sa.earthlink.net (pop-knobcone.atl.sa.earthlink.net [207.69.195.64]) by menubar.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 70DC33B24EF for ; Fri, 6 Jan 2006 13:23:42 -0500 (EST) Received: from user-142gdrm.cable.mindspring.com ([72.40.55.118] helo=smtp.davehollis.com) by pop-knobcone.atl.sa.earthlink.net with esmtp (Exim 3.36 #10) id 1EuwFZ-0002ei-00; Fri, 06 Jan 2006 13:23:41 -0500 Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by smtp.davehollis.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id B52A4B35EB; Fri, 6 Jan 2006 13:23:38 -0500 (EST) Received: from smtp.davehollis.com ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (bender.davehollis.com [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 29221-03; Fri, 6 Jan 2006 13:23:21 -0500 (EST) Received: from [10.11.0.10] (static-68-238-170-131.tampfl.fios.verizon.net [68.238.170.131]) by smtp.davehollis.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id C7A4FB34E9; Fri, 6 Jan 2006 13:23:18 -0500 (EST) From: David Hollis To: Jody Cleveland In-Reply-To: <9720CA43F755A148BF65B6618B90CB94025226@magneto.wals.local> References: <9720CA43F755A148BF65B6618B90CB94025226@magneto.wals.local> Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="=-NxM/1ZrVDrxS9+kc0+yK" Date: Fri, 06 Jan 2006 13:23:12 -0500 Message-Id: <1136571792.2475.14.camel@dhollis-lnx.sunera.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Evolution 2.5.3 (2.5.3-1) X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at davehollis.com X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at gnome.org X-Spam-Status: No, score=-2.387 tagged_above=-999 required=2 tests=[BAYES_00=-2.599, FORGED_RCVD_HELO=0.135, TW_GT=0.077] X-Spam-Score: -2.387 X-Spam-Level: Cc: gnome-redhat-list@gnome.org Subject: Re: "There was an error loading the theme Default" X-BeenThere: gnome-redhat-list@gnome.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Discussion of official Red Hat Linux GNOME List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 06 Jan 2006 18:23:45 -0000 --=-NxM/1ZrVDrxS9+kc0+yK Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Fri, 2006-01-06 at 12:19 -0600, Jody Cleveland wrote: > Hello, >=20 > I'm running a redhat 4.0AS server.
