[GnomeMeeting-list] PowerPC gnomemeeting & netmeeting

Hi all.

I'm looking for a bit of help.

I'm trying to connect to my family and friends in Canada, while I'm in
Japan. They, of course, are using MS netmeeting, while I use
gnomemeeting on a PowerBook. Everything works EXCEPT that I can't
hear them. Video works both ways. They can hear me, but I can't hear
them.

I know you'll ask (as I've lurked on #gnomemeeting a bit.):
I'm connecting through a ISDN connection. Regualar PPP connection.
I turn off my firewall when I use gnomemeeting.
I don't think duplexing in the sound card should matter, since I'm
using the USB audio mic on the webcam for input, and dmasound for
output.

In anycase, the counters at the bottom show that I'm not recieving any
audio, for some reason. However, the other side has successfully
connected to another netmeeting client without any problems, so that
more or less rules out their mistakes. (kinda, unless MS has some
magic that they aren't tell you about, which may be the case...)

I search the archives and came out with this:

openmcu -n audio-loopback room101 --listenport 1740 -v

which I tried (version 1.0.17).
But when I connect with gnomemeeting to localhost:1740, I get this
message from openmcu

Incoming H.323 call from Marshal Wong [127.0.0.1] has not selected a room.
Using room room101 as the default.
Accepting call from Marshal Wong [127.0.0.1] using gnomemeeting/0.92.1 with room id room101

Started logical channel: sending H.261-QCIF <7>
Started logical channel: receiving GSM-06.10{sw} <1>

And I can't hear myself...

So that means there's something wrong with something... ^_^

Logs when I connect to Netmeeting also say that I'm sending and
recieving with MS-GSM, but I still don't get any sound...

what else might you be helpful...

I run gnome, and esd. If I turn off esd, I don't even get the ringing
sound when someone calls.

I'm using gnomemeeting2 version 0.92.1-2 from the Debian PowerPC
archives. I'm still waiting for 0.93.0 to hit the servers...

Rumour has it that there were endian problems with openH323, but
rumour also has it that they were fixed...

So, I hope I've given enough information. I would appreciate any help
or hints on getting this working. Feel free to ask away if you need
any more info, or tell me to do things to get more info.

Opps, just ran gnomemeeting with debug and connected to OpenMCU and
sound this:

Don't know if it's any help...

Thanks in advance.
