Hello !
I've got the same webcam, and the microphone works perfectly.
You need to compile or have in the kernel a module called snd-usb-audio
(i use alsa).
Then, edit the file named /etc/hotplug/usb.usermap and and the 2
following row (beginning by QuickCam4000) :


QuickCam4000audio   0x0003      0x058f    0x9254    0x0000       0x0000
~      0x00         0x00            0x00            0x00            0x00
~              0x00               0x00000000

QuickCam4000        0x0003       0x046d    0x08b2   0x0000       0x0000

It should work !
