Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] mpeg and gnomemeeting.

Hi,
The card hardware encodes video into mpeg format. All decoding is done via software. The computer isn't aware of the camera, only the tuner card.

Thanks!

Hello,

Mpeg encoding is very special, and it is not supported. Are you sure it
is the only supported color format of your tv card?

Hi,
   I have a P4 3.0GHz machine with 1GB ram runing Fedora Core 3
2.6.11-1.27FC3smp kernel. I have gnomemeeting-1.2.1-1.FC3 installed. I
want to set up a video conference using a Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350 card
with a canon VC-C50i plugged into the S-Video port on the tv tuner card.
I've installed the ivtv-0.2.0rc3j driver. When I start gnomemeeting I get
the following error:

Your driver doesn't seem to support any of the colour formats supported by
gnomemeeting.

The tuner card seems to be encoding the video into mpeg format. I've read
online that one can use gconftool-2 to set the colour format, however I
have not found much info on how to do this. Any suggestions would be
helpful. Thanks!

Cheers
