You need to install GNU gettext or configure GTK+ with
--disable-nls. (This will be somewhat fixed for 1.1.13
if I have anything to say about it.)

Why did you have to configure GLib with --disable-threads?
What are your systems details. (Always mandatory on
a bug report in any case ;-)
