Gtk2: new concept of I/O monitoring

Hi,

in Gtk1 you can easily monitor a filehandle with Gtk::Gdk::input_add.
Gtk2 introduces another concept for that (GIOChannel). I checked the
Gtk2-Perl source tree and examples with no luck, to find out how this
functionality can be accessed from within Perl. It seems, it's not
implemented yet. Or do I overlook something?

Any help is appreciated.

Tbanks,

Joern
