[gtk2-perl] Release Candidates

Along with Gtk2 1.040 and Glib 1.040 (released last week), the 
following releases are ready for the bindings set release candidate 
milestone.

Overview of Changes in Gnome2::Canvas 1.0

* Require stable Glib/Gtk2 1.040
* Add import version checking.
* Spit and polish.
