Hi

We're getting nautilus-throbber crashes after running Nautilus for just a couple of minues. The crashes happen at almost any circumstance: when switching view modes, viewing text files, browsing directories but the stack frame of the crash is always the same.

We're using a Nautilus 2.4.0, heavily customized for the internal use of our organization and the problem does not happen in the stock Nautilus. However, the throbber was one component we did not touch.

Any suggestions in how we might trace this problem would be of great assistance. I pasted the throbber's stack trace below, which is always the same.

Thanks in advance.

Previous frame inner to this frame (corrupt stack?)

It looks like it fails on:
	NautilusThrobber *throbber = NAUTILUS_THROBBER (user_data);

user_data isn't NULL, so it might be crashing because the throbber has
been destroyed for some reason. It looks very strange though. I don't
have any good idea whats causing it.

We finally traced it, after isolating which set of changes produced the error. Turns out the throbber definition from nautilus-shell-ui.xml (<control name="ThrobberWrapper" behavior="pack-end"/>) had been duplicated into nautilus-directory-view-ui.xml. Removing the duplicate solved the problem.

Thanks for the help.

Cristovao.
