Re: [orca-list] from where orca reads settings?

Until now I thought that orca's settings were read only from the .orca directory. However I found that if you have a user-settings.py present in your home directory and the .orca directory does not exists, this file is used.

It's as designed.

This really confused me a couple of times. One time I ran a test from my home directory and then wondered why Orca wasn't speaking anymore. Eventually I figured out that the test dropped its own settings file, and, since I ran it from my home directory, Orca would now use it rather than the files in .orca.

So beware when running the tests.
