Hello,

I wonder, does the desktop work in the original gnome?


Back when I tried the Ubuntu's one, it still did not.


For me, that's one of the most you want to have solved things.

When showing someone around the system, it's not that bad to say have
some problems in settings, or the default apps, as it is to say hey,
btw, the desktop is not accessible.


Yes, I know, from the usage point of view, the desktop is actually a
minor thing, most of activities start from the search menu.


Though, there is such thing as user impression, and here, the desktop is
something... the user would expect to work as far as it's there, it's
elementary, the biggest component of the interface.
