Anyway, check
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/status/release/status.shtml
to see if the language code of Esperanto is being worked on.

If not, then assuming that noone is working on Esperanto, you would
have to make the effort of doing the translation.

In the current release version of GNOME there are around 13000 messages
to be translated and you need special care (read: initiative) with
some computer terminology (examples: widget, panel, load)

All these are with regard with the program message translation.
There is the issue of translating the help files which is often
considered secondary to the program messages.
