There is a another argument for committing the updated translations
after make dist and that is that the tarball should contain what is
tagged in CVS with the respective release tag. This is the only way to
ensure that problems in a released tarball can be reasonably examined
based on CVS. I admit that there should only seldom be problems caused
by translations but it can happen.
