If you want the behavior of GDM to be changed, the best way to
accomplish that is to first log a bug report/enhancement request in
GNOME Bugzilla: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/
Use the "GDM" component in this case.

In the bug report/enhancement request, please explain in detail what
behavior you want changed, and why. If you can provide and attach
patches yourself, it's even better.

Most people subscribed to the gnome-i18n@gnome.org list are translators,
and I'm not sure any GDM developer is, so this list alone is probably
not the best forum for technical GDM discussions and requests.
