I just happen to be on a windows box right now, and in internet explorer you 
can drag the window border icon to the desktop to create a link to the 
webpage you are viewing, kind of cool. So there is additional precedent for 
this idea. Only issue with this behavior in explorer is that its fairly 
hidden due to the lack of visual indication that the icon can be grabbed.
