The user will get instant visual feedback; the icon(s) on the desktop
get resized whenever the user changes the size. As soon as I find out
how to make nautilus react on changes at
NAUTILUS_METADATA_KEY_ICON_SCALE. 

In the patch's current version, Nautilus needs to be forced to re-read
the metadatabase. Not very userfriendly. ;)
