hmm... i never used gnumeric or excel. but this just looks terrible :) i
guess and wonder myself what the operation does, but on the other hand -
i bet you will have only excel users use it, so just copy the excel
dialog.

if you ask me i think copy/paste special may rather be a horrible misuse
of excels or another similar applications functionality, but well - we
all know people who maintain adress databases IN microsoft word. just
copy the excel dialog with lots of stomach ache ;) (mit viel
bauchweh :D)

--- my two cents ---

my oppinion on the dialog. looking at it - it's obvious that if you hit
it mistakingly you dont know what it does. so basically it needs you to
have this thick thick book by the shelf that exactly teaches the use of
all these badly implemented excel features. now the point for me is. if
the functionality is so cryptic - i guess its better implemented
_another_ way.
i doubt the guys who did this in excel had a clean feeling in their
stomach when doing this dialog. maybe they just thought, hell no one
will ever check what this is about, and those who will - will have read
the "excel professional guide 2000 xp reference published by joe user
press". i highly doubt this dialog makes any sense. beside offering a
bad functionality that maybe can be made simpler.

--- end my two cents ---
